Valley Heights (postcode 2777) is a small residential suburb in the lower Blue Mountains, sitting at approximately 200 metres elevation between Springwood and Winmalee. The suburb is best known for the Valley Heights Steam Tramway Museum, housed in the original 1867 steam tram motor depot — one of the oldest railway buildings in NSW. Valley Heights borders Winmalee to the north, Springwood to the south-east, and Yellow Rock to the west, with the Great Western Highway and railway line running through the suburb.

At 200 metres elevation, Valley Heights has a mild lower-mountains climate: warm summers reaching 33–35°C, and cool winters where overnight temperatures drop to 3–6°C with occasional frost in the valley sections near Blaxland Creek.
